Night Of Chill Blue

Snagged the Superchunk b-sides comp today at Sonic Boom, happy day.

Writing songs is tough. Now I remember why I quit everytime I try to do it.

‘I Am Trying To Break Your Heart’ opens tomorrow, I want to go but the Mental Hygiene festival is also going on at the Bloor. Losing Saturday night for Dad’s birthday dinner puts the rest of my weekend time at a premium, especially with the Coupland reading/interview Saturday afternoon.

I think I need to sleep.

She Comes In Colours

New monitor at work. It’s big. It’s bright. It’s… well, it works, which is more than I could say for the old one. 17″ and a functioning contrast control, that’s all I asked for. I am now rocking the suburbs in full-on 1280×1024. Not a word from you 19″-21″-toting chimps, you’re just overcompensating.

When You Land Here It’s Time To Return

I’ve made the archive monthly, cause the list of weekly links at the bottom of the page was getting unsightly. There’s still bits and pieces of code to be tidied up. Another night.

Going to see Flirt at the Reverb tonight – they come to my shows, I should go to theirs, right? I can give Kyle his Modern Lovers disc, anyway.

Didn’t get much work done on the aborted Kwanzaa carol tonight. I still have a vague idea of how I want this to sound but I need to sit down with pencil and paper and write out some lyrics, for starters. But by God I will get this done.
