Sometimes Fark’s headlines are better than the stories they’re linked to.

Endsongs
Longwave is making up for the cancelled The Shining show with a free show at the ‘Shoe on Dec 3. They’re on first, at 9:45. Excellent.
If anyone’s looking for me that night… well three guesses where I’ll be.

Whatever’s Cool With Me
The idiot box did present me with pleasing images tonight. The Leafs pull victory from the jaws of defeat from the jaws of victory. The Raptors pull off an unexpected upset of Orlando and tonight’s episode of Buffy was exceptional.
It’s not all sunshine and lollipops though. Sood has finally knocked me out of first place in the hockey pool, at least right now (Colorado v Columbus and St. Louis v Vancouver still underway… come on Henrik Sedin!). I’m not surprised, I’ve only been clinging to first by the grace of Mario and he’s not been terribly productive of late. The end is nigh.
I am still happy about finding the chicken. I am not going mad!
Well into the third part of ‘The New York Trilogy’. I want very much to finish it but I also don’t because then it will be done… Next in line is Douglas Coupland’s ‘All Families Are Psychotic’. I think I need to go book shopping soon.
And coat shopping. I need a new coat.

Power, Corruption and Lies
I was going to say something to the effect of, “I love MySQL-Front, it’s like being in God mode,” but horror of horrors, it seems development of MySQL-Front has been discontinued?!? There’s a new product call MyFrontEnd that I will have to investigate… but for now I will mourn the demise of one of my favorite little apps.
I am listening to the New Order BBC Radio 1 Live disc… I love this band but dear God, Bernard Sumner has some issues with singing live. He whoops and slurs and pitch seems to be little more than a vague suggestion. His guitar playing is pretty sloppy as well, which implies that Barney’s high on maybe a little more than just life? I’ve heard from more than one source that New Order were a dubious proposition live. I don’t think I need much more proof.

bleep bleep bleep bleep bleep bleep bleep
Just been turned onto the Cult Of Ellen Feiss.
There’s not much I can say that the link doesn’t. Mac-O-Lanterns!
PS – Why has no one told me I can just drag and drop files from my local machine to my FTP sites through Windows Explorer? My life has now changed in ways I can’t begin to understand.
PPS – Another compelling argument to Switch.
