What: Legendary – a term not to be used lightly but wholly appropriate in this case – English singer-songwriter whose wit and songwriting greatly influenced punk and new wave in the ’70s and ’80s and is still going strong; his last record The Old Magic came out last Fall.
Why: Though he came through town back solo in September whilst opening up for Wilco, he’s coming back for his own show and a full band.
When: Monday, April 23, 2012
Where: The Phoenix in Toronto (19+)
Who else: Local boy Peter Elkas gets to warm things up.
How: Tickets for the show are $35 in advance but courtesy of Collective Concerts, I’ve got a pair of passes to give away for the show.
